Asheford Institute of Antiques conducted an informal poll/survey of the antique trends for 2016, focusing on three different age group business proprietors; (20-38), (38-58), and (58-78).
If you’re a dealer, this could be very valuable information when stocking your space or online shop. For the collector, maybe branch out from your usual wares and look out for one or more of these trends!
The best thing about antiques is there’s no set trend you need to follow; collect what you love and what you’re drawn to, and most of all…have fun with it!
Attention Early Owego dealers ONLY!
Spring has sprung, so why not come in on Tues. 4/11 from 10-5 to spruce up your booth? This is a great time to take advantage of cleaning, filling in, and moving inventory around in your booth while the store is closed to the public.
Looking for something to do on this chilly Friday?
How about stopping by Early Owego Antique Center? We’re open late every Friday, 10-8.
We have (almost) everything under one roof and several new dealers have moved in! And best of all, it’s warm in there!!
So much to do, so much to see!
We are featured on the Finger Lakes Wine Country site as a “place to shop”! But don’t let it stop there; check out this site for more amazing things to see, things to do, in and around the Finger Lakes region.
Make the Finger Lakes a summer destination!
This Music Monday pick is Sister Golden Hair by America
The song was written by Gerry Beckley and recorded by America for their fifth album Hearts (1975). It was their second single to reach number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, remaining in the top position for just one week.
Although the song is a message from a man to his lover, explaining that he still loves her despite being not ready for marriage, the title was initially inspired by the mothers of all three members of the group, all of whom were blondes.
The Owego Elks Emporium will be open Sunday 4/2 from 8 am-3 pm.
Check out the Emporium, then stop by Early Owego; we’ll be open from 10 am-6 pm….talk about a full day of antiquing!
